Job Description

The mission of the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) is to nurture mutually beneficial and lifelong relationships with alumni and engage them along NUS’ aspirations. The Alumni Communications team supports this mission by reaching out to and strengthening bonds with, close to 350,000 of the University’s alumni in the following ways:
•    Implement effective digital marketing and communications strategies to increase awareness of alumni activities, benefits and networks.
•    Promote alumni events and activities, drive participation and strengthen alumni engagement.

The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing digital marketing initiatives to promote the NUS alumni network and drive engagement with alumni.

Digital Communications

•    Develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals, identify target audiences, and selecting appropriate channels and tactics to promote programmes and events for alumni.
•    Managed and work with venders to develop engaging and relevant content for various digital platforms such as website, social media and emails. This can include writing copy, designing graphics, producing videos and curating user-generated content.
•    Manage social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring trends and analytics to optimise performance. 
•    Optimise digital content to improve visibility and ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs), conducting keyword research, optimising website structure and content, and implementing SEO best practices.
•    Plan, design, execute, and analyse email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, retain customers, and drive conversions. This involves creating email templates, segmenting email lists, A/B testing subject lines and content, and monitoring deliverability and engagement metrics.
•    Managing online advertising campaigns across various platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and more. This includes setting campaign objectives, targeting the right audience, creating ad creatives, monitoring performance, and optimising campaigns for maximum ROI.
•    Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators such as website traffic, social media engagement, email open rates, conversion rates, and ROI. Using data insights to make informed decisions, optimise strategies, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
•    Ensuring consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all digital channels, maintaining brand reputation, and actively engaging with online communities to foster positive relationships.
•    Utilising CRM systems to manage customer data, track interactions, segment audiences, and personalise marketing efforts to enhance customer experience and loyalty.
•    Keeping abreast of the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, and continuously learning and experimenting with new tools and techniques to improve campaign performance and effectiveness.


Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a related field. 
•    6 to 8 years’ experience in digital marketing and communications roles.  
•    Experienced with developing integrated marketing campaigns, a self-starter who is creative and resourceful.
•    Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.
•    Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, social media management tools, email marketing software and content management systems.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various digital channels.
•    In-depth knowledge of SEO techniques and best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, and link building.
•    Experience with paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc., including campaign setup, optimisation, and performance analysis.
•    Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting data to derive actionable insights and make data-driven decisions.
•    Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage concurrent projects and deadlines.
•    Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
