About the Role

 

To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join us as Senior Manager/Assistant Senior Manager (Compliance Management)

 

Reporting to the Associate Director, the incumbent would be instrumental in assisting in a range of administrative duties that would be needed to execute in an efficient and effective manner to support the smooth functioning of the unit. 

 

Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with an annual variable bonus which is subject to the incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.  

 

The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Ensure NUS CET units adhere to all compliance requirements with all applicable institutional and governmental (SSG) regulations, and policies
•    Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of CET compliance framework to mitigate risks and uphold ethical standards within NUS
•    Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in regulations and best practices for NUS CET management
•    Conduct periodic training sessions to ensure awareness and understanding of compliance obligations across all levels of the organization.
•    Establish monitoring systems and conduct regular audits to assess compliance with internal policies and SSG regulations.
•    Investigate instances of non-compliance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
•    Prepare and present reports to SCALE deanery and senior management on compliance activities, findings, and remedial actions taken
•    Conduct internal audits to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within the CET units
•    Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified risks and ensure ongoing compliance
•    Collaborate with CET units to address compliance issues and promote a culture of compliance
•    Provide coordination and liaison with external regulatory agencies, auditors, and accreditation bodies to facilitate compliance reviews and audits for NUS


Requirements:


Academic & Professional Certification
•    A bachelor’s degree in arts & social science, business administration or education from a reputable university
•    Professional certification in ISO will be an added advantage
•    IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications

 

Experience & Attributes 
•    At least 8-10 years of working experience in either educational administration, compliance management, grant administration or relevant roles, preferably at a tertiary institution
•    Experience in managing audits and documentary assessment processes
•    Good process management skills; excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills 
•    Understanding in SSG regulatory will be an added advantage
•    Dynamic and self-motivated individual who is a system thinker 
•    Meticulous, well-organised, detailed-oriented 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
