The Senior Executive (Strategic Projects) will support the Assistant Director and Senior Assistant Manager in the operational and administrative matters pertaining to the successful implementation of strategic projects and transformation plans that will support the school’s core objective in transforming and building a leading mechanical and aerospace engineering school in the world.
Strategic Initiatives and school projects support
Collate data on strategic risks, opportunities, problems, industry and research trends, findings as well as research outcomes, to support analysis
Support the preparation of insights into potential projects, proposals, white papers and roadmaps
Support the execution of school-wide projects and initiatives across units
Suggest marketing collateral design direction and create marketing collateral following branding directions
Prepare material, infographics, PowerPoint slides and newsletters to help raise awareness of the school’s initiatives
Serve as the unit’s web content administrator to update the school’s website where necessary
Plan and coordinate meeting and events related to the development of the initiatives
Support the logistics and planning of meetings, events, including venue bookings, catering, coordination with faculty and unit managers where necessary
Support the Assistant Chair (I&E) and Assistant Chair (International Engagement) in implementing the school’s I&E projects
Work closely with the school’s outreach unit to design and publicize targeted publicity material on the school’s social media channels
Assist in managing diversity projects such as Women in STEM initiative and WoMAEn platform
Undertake special projects assigned by Senior Management, as well as secretariat duties for strategy meetings
Requirements:
Degree from a recognized institution preferred. Diploma holders with relevant working experience may be considered.
Strategic programmes development and planning experience
Events planning and execution experience will be advantageous
Adept at graphical and media design
Experienced in publication creation and copywriting
Familiar with social media and marketing content creation
Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and writing skills
Team player, highly motivated to build relationships with cross-department members, stakeholders and others in the organization who have impact in the projects
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as a team member with minimal direction
Able to work in ambiguous situations with a positive attitude
