Job Description

To write, edit and produce content for the effective communication and promotion of NUS’ research strategies, initiatives and outcomes to grantors, stakeholders and the general public.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

* Create and edit feature articles, news highlights and other forms of copy that promote NUS’ research initiatives and outcomes.

* Assist in the development of web- and print-based materials, to promote NUS’ research initiatives and outcomes.

* Provide editorial services for grant proposals, white papers and presentations for top-tier collaborative grants, and proposals of strategic importance.

* Assist in training NUS research faculty grant proposal development, presentation delivery and science communications.

* Assist in the drafting of high-level reports and presentations for grantors and stakeholders, together with NUS Senior Management.

* Assist the Deputy President (Research and Technology) and Directors in the Office of the Deputy President Research and Technology in any other communications-based assignment.

 

 


Qualifications
  • The candidate should possess a postgraduate degree in a science, engineering discipline, and have a good understanding of the academic research environment in Singapore. 
  • An established portfolio of published writing is essential, including popular or feature articles
  • Experience in editing grant proposals, manuscripts is advantageous.
  • Experience in website development and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Candidates should have experience in maintaining and developing social media accounts (twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Candidates must be confident using Adobe Creative Cloud design software, including InDesign and Premiere Pro.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience
