The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work on a project to create optimized designs for heat exchanger;

  • Perform multi-physics numerical simulation to establish specific dataset;

  • Build machine learning models to learn performance of heat exchanger;

  • Deliver design results with no additive manufacturing production issues.

Job Requirements: 

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields

  • At least 3-year research experience in related areas

  • Expertise in numerical simulation of multi-physics systems, such as fluid-solid coupling structures

  • Experience in additive manufacturing, and machine learning

  • Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as C++, Python, and/or Matlab

  • Proficiency in English speaking and writing

  • Publication track record is an advantage for this position
