The Earth Observatory of Singapore seeks a Research Associate with expertise in GIS and geology as applied to active tectonics to participate in research on faults and earthquakes around Southeast Asia. The candidate will work under the supervision of Assistant Professor Judith Hubbard and will collaborate with other members of the Tectonics group to understand tectonic evolution, map fault geometries, and evaluate related hazards.

Job Responsibilities
Integrating seismotectonic data in a GIS environment
Implementing geophysical codes to assess earthquake and related hazards
Comparing past seismic behavior to recent earthquake records
Supporting members of the research group with GIS needs
Interpretation of results
Publication of results
Job Requirements
MS in Geology or related field
Experience in geological and geophysical studies of active faults
Expertise in GIS as applied to the Earth sciences
Experience with coding
Enthusiasm, good team work, good communication, good figure-making skills, the ability to conduct independent research and write papers, interest in earthquake hazards
