Research Associate (Communication Engineering)

School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Associate.

As a Research Associate specializing in data analytics, your role extends beyond research to include the design and implementation of lifelong learning initiatives (LLIs) for Master of Science students in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) programs. In addition, you will be responsible for lab management of the Lifelong Learning Lab (LLL@EEE). This multifaceted position requires a blend of research expertise, program design skills, and administrative capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research Conduct:

  • Conduct research on lifelong learning initiatives (LLIs) for Master of Science students in EEE programs.

  • Explore emerging trends, innovative practices, and industry demands to inform program design.

  • Apply the findings and research outcome to put up proposals for further enhancing lifelong learning aspects of the EEE MSc programmes.

• Program Design:

  • Design and develop tailored LLIs to enhance the educational experience of Master of Science students in various EEE programs.

  • Collaborate with faculty members and industry partners to align initiatives with industry needs and academic goals.

  • Integrate data analytics methodologies into program design to track student progress and evaluate program effectiveness.

  • Continuously improve/revamp designed LLIs based on findings from the conducted research.

• Data Analysis:

  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze student performance data and assess the impact of lifelong learning initiatives.

  • Generate insights to optimize program effectiveness and inform decision-making.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with faculty members, department heads, and industry partners to ensure alignment of lifelong learning initiatives with academic objectives and industry demands.

  • Foster partnerships with external organizations to enhance opportunities for student engagement and experiential learning.

• Lab Management (LLL@EEE):

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Lifelong Learning Lab (LLL@EEE), ensuring a conducive environment for student learning and research activities.

  • Coordinate lab resources, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.

  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other activities to support student engagement and skill development in the lab.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Strong background in data analytics, research methodologies, and program design.

• Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.

• Experience in curriculum development, program design, or educational initiatives is preferred.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

• Prior experience in project management, lab management or research facility oversight is an advantage.
