Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for  Research Assistant in the NUS-Cambridge Immune Phenotyping Centre. The Centre, which is located at the Life Sciences Institute, is fully equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, machines and facilities. The centre focuses on immune-phenotyping in healthy and disease cohorts. Appointment will be made on a one-year contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for at least one more year. The position is available immediately.

 

Purpose

The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to and work closely with  the other study team members and will assist with the project.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

The RA will be able to:

  • Provide administrative support to the project.
  • Undertake the day to day running of the project;
  • Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures; 
  • Assist with any other duties in lab  of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI. 

    • Qualifications

    The applicant should have:

    • A Bachelor degree in Life Sciences (biomedical sciences preferred)
    • Experience in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, etc
    • Experience in recombinant protein expression and purification
    • Be well-organized, dedicated and a team player

     

    Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
