CIFAL Singapore was established in 2023 and is the first such centre in Singapore to be affiliated with the United Nations’ principal training arm and will be sited at NTU Singapore. The Centre aims to strengthen the ability of individ als, institutions, and societies in the Asia Pacific countries to perform functions, solve problems, and set and achieve objectives sustainably, thus encouragingsustainable development in the Asia Pacific region.
 

CIFAL is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee and run the day to-day operation as well as to provide timely support in the unit as needed.
 

Responsibilities:

1. Manage an International Program

  • Lead the collaborative CIFAL partnership between UNITAR and NTU , ensuring effective communication and cooperation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve program objectives and milestones.
  • Oversee the execution of program activities across various locations in NTU and Singapore.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful outcomes.

2. Supervise Junior Staff

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and student volunteer members responsible for program delivery, partnerships, finance, and reporting.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to ensure high-quality work.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment conducive to professional growth and development.

3. Website Management

  • Establish, maintain, and update the CIFAL Singapore website to ensure accurate and timely information delivery.
  • Coordinate with web developers/designers to implement necessary changes and improvements.
  • Monitor website traffic and engagement metrics to optimize user experience and content relevance.
     

4. Coordinate Advisory and Leadership Board Meetings

  • Organize and facilitate two annual meetings of the Board of Representatives and the Advisory board.
  • Develop meeting agendas, coordinate logistics, and ensure participation from key stakeholders.
  • Document meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up tasks to track progress and accountability.
     

5. Annual Reporting

  • Coordinate the compilation and submission of comprehensive reports for the annual CIFAL Global Network report at monthly intervals.
  • Gather data and information from relevant stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyse data trends and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and strategic planning.
     

6. Budget Development and Management

  • Develop and manage the annual budget for the CIFAL Singapore.
  • Collaborate with finance staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Monitor budget expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, International Relations).
  • Proven experience in program management, preferably in an international or cross-cultural context.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in website management and content development (experience with CMS platforms is a plus).
  • Experience organizing and facilitating meetings or events, including agenda development and logistical coordination.
  • Familiarity with budget development and financial management principles.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
