Principal Research Scientist (Computer Science and Engineering)

The NTU-WeBank Joint Research Centre On FinTech invites applications for the position of Principal Research Scientist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage individual and collective research projects, with a particular focus on distributed architecture, cloud computing, AGILE methodologies and big data.

• Employ profound industry insights and awareness of technological trends to contribute meaningfully to the project's R&D efforts, striving for pioneering outcomes.

• Initiate and oversee the development and presentation of prototypes, facilitating bench-top demonstrations to showcase potential applications and enhance research discoveries.

• Spearhead the planning and execution of networking events and initiatives aimed at strengthening industry partnerships and fostering entrepreneurship within the research community.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree in a related field will be an advantage.

• Strong experience in project management in a Fintech environment, with deep understanding and application of AGILE methodologies.

• Background in technology or a related field, with a comprehensive understanding of global current and emerging trends.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, adept at cultivating collaborative environments.
