Job Description
Associate Professor Luo Nan at Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health seeks a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join his research team. This position offers a recently graduated PhD holder the opportunity to work in multiple research projects in the areas of development, assessment, and applications of health-related quality of life and patient-reported outcomes measures. This role will allow the candidate to collaborate with clinicians, health economists, and outcomes researchers in Singapore and overseas.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage research projects in the area of instrument development and application as well as program evaluations;
• Collect primary data from patients, clinicians, and policy makers through in-depth interviews or focus group discussions;
• Collaborate with clinicians, health economists, outcomes researchers, and policy makers;
• Assist in the supervision and mentoring of graduate students and junior researchers;
• Contribute to grant proposals and progress reports for funding agencies; and
• Draft research papers for presentation at national and international conferences and publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Qualifications
• A PhD in a relevant field such as health economics and outcomes research, statistics, and epidemiology;
• Expertise in instrument development for clinical or healthcare decision making;
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R, stata, or SAS;
• Experience of qualitative research in health;
• Experience of primary data collection directly from patients;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
• Strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
