Job Description

• Organise and Deliver Conferences and Events for NUS Stakeholders.  
• Events range from E-Conferencing and E-events to onsite events such as gala dinners to department dinners, department retreats, academic conferences, business seminars and careers fairs, product launches, registration of participants for conferences, concerts, cultural events etc
• Liaise with NUS Stakeholders/Clients to understand their wants, needs and special requests for the event. 
• Oversees managing of event staff and hiring volunteers, as well as coordinating various suppliers to provide the event with all the necessary, such as security, lighting, displays, sound equipment, stages, parking, toilets, and F&B. 
• Oversee designing the layout and schedule of the event, commissioning companies to produce event guides, tickets and pamphlets
• Able to brainstorm and develop event proposals and presentations, and identify new business opportunities.
• Be responsible for the budget for the event
• Ensure smooth operations of events and conferences
• Procurement of Suppliers and manpower to meet event needs
• Undertake any other ad hoc related duties as assigned
 


Qualifications

Requirements 
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing /event management /hospitality and other related discipline. 
• 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in the events industry with account servicing track records. Candidate with less experience than required are welcome.
• Meticulous, excellent coordination and organization skills, with a customer service mindset 
• Able to handle multiple projects within tight deadlines, and work independently as well as in a team.
• Understanding of the B2B event management industry.
• Has a strong network of suppliers for event needs.
• Experience in events registration via IT Systems will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Programs such as Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD for event layout planning and producing in-house publicity materials.
• Be able to work occasionally on weekends and after office hours on weekdays.  
• Must be able to make a visual presentation of work experience and events accomplished if shortlisted for an interview.
