Head of Woodwinds (in either Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon)

The Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music is seeking an outstanding, internationally recognized artist/teacher to fill the position of Head of Woodwinds.  This is a full-time position.  The successful candidate will be an outstanding soloist and/or collaborative musician in flute, oboe, clarinet or bassoon with significant performance and leadership experience, the desire and experience to teach gifted Conservatory students, and the expertise to lead the Woodwinds area.  Participation in the artistic life of Singapore and the region is also expected.  In addition to maintaining a dynamic studio, the candidate will also be active in teaching collaborative ensembles, engaging in community and outreach activities, and recruiting students to the Conservatory through both national and international involvement at various levels, including targeted pre-tertiary programs and similar organizations throughout the region. 

Requirements for interested applicants include:
-    A Ph.D., D.M., Masters or equivalent in areas relevant to conservatory training.
-    An exceptional performer as well as a dedicated teacher with a proven track record of leadership and teaching at an elite performance level.
-    Strong leadership, communication, collaborative and organizational skills.
-    Teaching experience in a conservatory or other tertiary-level institutions focused on professional training in areas of music including performance, pedagogy, and artistic research.
-    Evidence of artistic research activity in music in areas such as performance and pedagogy.
-    A passion for teaching, engaging and supporting conservatory students.
-    Works well in a collaborative and innovative conservatory environment.

Rank/Salary: Practice-track position at the rank of Associate Professor or higher, with benefits package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
