Job Description

The incumbent will act as the Programme Manager for a new Master of Science programme at the Department of Statistics and Data Science. The dedicated person will help to support the smooth delivery of the self-financing programme and ensure the service standard. By working with the Programme Director and Dean's Office at the Faculty of Science, he/she will manage the Programme's end-to-end administration including admission, programme daily operation and other related portfolios. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

  • Work closely with the Programme Director and Dean's Office, to take charge of the overall administration of the new MSc programme throughout the student lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Director, faculty members and Dean's Office to manage the programme's admission and day-to-day operation to upkeep the quality.
  • Act as the contact point to cultivate the Programme's alumni relations and enhance the community cohesion, aligned with Programme's overall branding strategy.
  • Organize programme-related events including orientation and student activities.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Department if needed.

Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info

• Degree from a recognized university.

• Programme management experience, preferably 1+ years of experience as programme coordinator and partnership development in the higher education sector.

• Organizational skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Networking and event management skills.

• Motivated, self-starter with ability to contribute to strategic planning, and perform duties independently.

- Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies. 

- The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
