Deputy Director / Senior Associate Director (Head, Global Alumni Engagement)

Job Purpose :

The mission of the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) is to nurture mutually beneficial and lifelong relationships with alumni and engage them along NUS's aspirations. The Global Alumni Engagement team supports this mission by reaching out to, and strengthening bonds with, overseas-based alumni from the University's 350,000 alumni community.

Duties & Responsibilities :

The Candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of effective engagement events and initiatives for overseas alumni.

Global Alumni Engagement

• Support the Chief Alumni Officer in the roll-out  the alumni engagement strategy and key events for overseas alumni.
• Coordinate and manage overseas alumni groups, providing leadership and guidance to ensure their activities align with NUS' and OAR's mission and goals.
• Help create opportunities for engagement with overseas alumni, in collaboration with internal colleagues.
• Lead and guide a small team of global alumni engagement professionals.
• Manage the policies and administrative processes that enable overseas alumni engagement.
• Draft speeches for leaders speaking at oversea alumni events.
• Any other projects as assigned by management.

• A recognised degree with at least 10 to 12 years of proven track record in leading an alumni engagement or stakeholder engagement team.
• An experienced professional who is creative, resourceful and good with people
• Excellent command of English with strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in an Asian language would be an asset.
• Strong project management skills, meticulous and attentive to details
• Hands-on, adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Willing to occasionally travel, and work after office hours.
• Comfortable working as an independent contributor and/or as part of a team.
