The Centre for Music and Health is inviting applications for the contract role of Administrative Assistant. This is a 3 months maternity coverage, working part-time at 20 hours per week. 


The Centre for Music and Health (CMH) is the first dedicated research center in South-East Asia to spearhead and investigate cutting edge, evidence-based practices that leverage the efficacy of music for health and well-being. Situated in the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, one of the leading conservatories in Asia, and embedded within a top-tier research university, the CMH is uniquely positioned to catalyze the artistic and scientific excellence of the NUS community towards research excellence in this emerging field. The Centre aims to establish world-class music programs and interventions to support crucial aspects of health at NUS and in Singapore, and beyond; and to develop interdisciplinary translational research and evaluation methods to support our evidence-based approach. We aspire to become the leading center for music and health in Asia, pioneering the development of music-based methods and interventions to improve people’s lives.


Job Description
    •  
  • Liaise with different central offices of NUS such as finance, procurement, development, and research offices
  • Prepare paperwork for NUS Finance
  • Prepare letters of agreement, contracts, and payment forms for facilitators (internal or external to NUS), part-time researchers, and external hires
  • Facilitate research collaboration agreement contracts and related paperwork between CMH, research collaborators and NUS IEP department
  • Assist CMH director with timely submission of grantors’ reports and other grant paperwork
  • Handle Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music room bookings for meetings and research studies
  • Provide administrative support to the research team at CMH, and help in ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and grant terms and conditions
  • Liaise with YST communications team to update CMH social media channels
  • Liaise with vendors and external organisations for ad-hoc engagements of our flagship music programmes
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned

 

**Please note that this is a part-time role at 20 hours per week. 


Qualifications
    •  
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
  • Past experience in admin is desired
  • Independent, adaptable, and able to work well in a team
  • Ability to use Canva for design and social media management is a plus
