Job Purpose

This position is responsible for building, developing and leveraging the LKYSPP global alumni community, in support of the School's student, academic and business needs. It will also support the School's employer engagement efforts, including but not limited to alumni employers.

The role is part community building, part marketing and part administrative. Relationship management, stakeholder management and cultivation of external partners
and employers will be central to the role. The Manager/Assistant Manager also serves as a liaison to the alumni community, drives engagement and enriches the experience of the community by integrating alumni across the School's many touchpoints.

 


Job Description

• Develop, manage and support the School’s key alumni engagement and employer engagement programmes and events
• Identify and articulate the unique value proposition of being an LKYSPP alumni, and/or employer of LKYSPP graduates
• Cultivate and steward relationships with alumni, employers and current students
• Maintain strong alumni online communities on various social media platforms
• Be the contact point for the School’s alumni chapters, both overseas and local
• Assist the team with content development such as alumni stories (text and video), newsletters, class notes and social media posts
• Measure, track and grow alumni loyalty, engagement and affective ties to the School
• Maintain alumni and employer database; analyse data, create and present reports.
• Contribute to the general advancement of alumni relations and employer engagement at the School
• Coordinate with NUS Office of Alumni Relations to support and facilitate alumni engagement campaigns and activities
• Track and manage team budget and procurement related activities
• Support day-to-day administrative matters including responding to email inquiries, managing mailboxes, writing notes of meeting/meeting minutes, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned

Please note that this role might involve some travel and might require some unsocial hours on occasion (i.e. a few evenings, weekends).
 


Qualifications

- Possess a good degree in public policy, international affairs, communications, business or marketing, social sciences or humanities
- Possess a minimum of 4 to 6 years' work experience across different sectors, with the ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of the policy world
- Experience working in alumni relations, external or international relations, strategy, career services, advancement and/or marketing/communications/public relations, preferably in a higher education institution
- Skilled with MS Office applications, especially Excel, and IT skills
- Resilient, resourceful with good problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
- Strong communication skills (e.g. oral, written, public speaking), people skills, and must be comfortable with networking.
- Possess a positive attitude and excellent organisational skills.
- Able to work across multi-functions/ multi-individuals/ multi-cultural situations to achieve desired results.
+ Preferred: Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, to communicate with alumni from Chinese-medium programme.
