Animal Care Lecturer

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to teach across all Animal Management specialisms from Level 1 to Level 3/T Levels, delivering on a range of units including, but not limited to Biology, Accommodation, Health, and Nutrition.

Ideally, candidates should hold a recognised teaching qualification, although the College offers a structured induction programme for those new to teaching, you will be paired with an experienced mentor and start on a reduced teaching timetable, gradually increasing as your experience and skills strengthen. You will gain broad experience in a teaching environment from enrolment, SAR process to results day.

In addition to this, we will assign you a mentor and the opportunity to achieve a recognised Teaching Qualification.

You will join a fantastic team who are committed to creating an inspiring curriculum for our new cohort of students and will take an active role in the curriculum design and lesson planning, ensuring students are ready for their next steps.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A detailed knowledge of the curriculum and its means of delivery
  • At least 2 years in the industry
  • High standards of communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to motivate both students and your peers.
