Offer Description

Competition disciplines ”Methods and Systems of Interpretation”, ”Comparative Literature Course: The Politician and Literature”; ”Universal and Comparative Literature Course: Existentialism, Postmodernism”; ”Marginality and Canon” involve complex approaches that reach multiple theories, related to the idea of canon and of marginality, to the reconstruction of the paradigm of comparative literature in the current context of the crisis of disciplines, as well as in the context of complex interrelations between the power systems and the global or planetary narrative systems. The in-depth knowledge of the mentality analyses of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, of the theories of the imaginary, as well as of the main currents of ideas that marked this period, such as existentialism, postmodernism, analysis of power structures that made possible totalitarianism, but also, in the past, the ethnographic imaginary that has been deconstructed, are essential for placing the discipline in contemporaneity and for a rigorous and coherent analysis of what comparative literature means nowadays. This interdisciplinary approach implies an important capacity for synthesis and speculation, as well as a multipurpose discourse of the candidate.
