Offer Description

MSCA Global Postdoctoral Fellowships fund ambitious, high-achieving post-doctoral researchers to conduct research and expand their skillsets at a European Institution for up to two years. Applications for these fellowships are made jointly between host institutions and postdoctoral researchers and are due by 11 Sept 2024. We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates to apply for one of our strategic research programs by 2 June 2024. One of these programs is the expansion of the MarineGEO Network in Europe.

MARE-Madeira is the European Hub of the Smithsonian Institution’s global MarineGEO Network . We’re seeking a postdoc to lead the coordination of coastal habitat monitoring and experimentation across new European network partners, in line with MarineGEO ambitions. This scientific and management role will be key to increasing the relevance of MarineGEO’s research to sustainable development, conservation and restoration of coastal habitats in European seas. It will also expand and strengthen the global MarineGEO Network by integrating the expertise of more European institutions. Candidates should have experience in coordinating projects across institutions, delivering scientific results with applicability to policy-making, sustainable management plans and/or cross-border conservation efforts, and a track-record in project fundraising.
