Job description:

Work Area: Informatics
Project overview: Join a systems administration team to work on an innovative project to boost the work of hundreds of researchers:;
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of a state-of-the-art MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) platform that enhances researchers' ability to develop superior Machine Learning models through faster, more automated, and efficient processes. This platform will be based on a cluster with 2000 cores, 11 TB of RAM, 50 GPGPUs, and 1 PB of storage.;
• Assist in the development and upkeep of innovative intelligent assistants using local LLMs (Large Language Models) to automate research tasks while ensuring the protection of privacy and intellectual property.
Objectives: • Continuous training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in MLOps and LLMs.;

Academic Qualifications: Degree in computer engineering or similar.
Minimum profile required: knowledge of Linux systems; knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes platforms; knowledge of networking; proficiency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
Preference factors: Master’s degree in computer engineering or similar; experience in system administration, DevOps or MLOps; experience in projects with relevant use of Machine Learning/Deep Learning or LLMs.

Funding Entity:
Type of contract: fixed-term contract
The hiring shall be governed by what is stipulated in the legislation in force regarding fixed individual employment contracts and by INESC TEC norms.

Selection criteria: The selection of the candidates will be based on the following criteria, in descending order of consideration:
a) Relevant Curriculum in the concerned field of this tender
b) Proven experience.
DISABILITY INCENTIVE

Candidates who present a degree of disability equal to or greater than 90% will benefit from an incentive (20) in the score of the CV Assessment.
Candidates who present a degree of disability equal to or greater than 60% and less than 90% will also benefit from an incentive (10) in the score of the CV Assessment.
Said score may, in these cases, exceed 100 points.
Candidates must demonstrate the degree of disability during the application, namely through the submission of the Multi-Purpose Medical Certificate of Disability, issued in accordance with Decree-Law no. 202/96, of October 23 - currently in effect.
