Offer Description
The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:
1. required: a doctorate in physics
2. required: significant record of publications in the quantum many-body theory, in particular, experience in research of many-body effects in dynamics of quantum gases, quantum correlations, and collisional properties of particles; knowledge of: methods of statistical physics, methods of non-equilibrium quantum field theory, methods of Green’s functions, methods of quantum metrology.
3. preferred: at least one year of foreign post-doc experience.
4. fluent knowledge of Polish, enabling the implementation of didactic classes and research work.
5. good knowledge of English.
Research and organizational tasks:
a. Development of theory and computations of properties of interacting quantum gases (quantum correlations, stationary or non-equilibrium properties) using many-body methods of quantum theory and quantum metrology.
b. Applying for external funding (e.g., NCN, NAWA); building research team; scientific collaboration with other members of the department; scientific supervision over doctoral and undergraduate students.
c. Development of scientific collaboration with research from other facilities, Poland, and abroad.
d. Publication of research results in internationally recognized scientific journals and during international conferences.
e. Candidates without habilitation must be ready to submit their habilitation application within the first year of employment.
Teaching duties will be determined in agreement with the relevant Dean.

Benefits
Period of contract agreement: up to 33 months with the possibility of extension.
The position starts on September 1st 2024.
