Offer Description

1. The competition may be entered by persons who meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and meet the following qualification criteria:
1) having a habilitated doctor's degree in the field of social sciences, in the discipline of pedagogy;
2) having scientific achievements: books, scientific monographs, scientific articles published in reputable scientific journals;
3) active participation in national and international scientific conferences, confirmed by certificates;
4) scientific activity carried out in cooperation with domestic and foreign universities;
5) scientific supervision of academic teachers;
6) experience in leading a research team or active participation in the work of a research team;
7) at least 5 years of experience as a lecturer at a university in the following subjects: natural, ecological and technical education and IT, in early school education;
8) at least 5 years of professional experience in the field of: natural, ecological, technical and IT education methodology in early school education, confirmed by appropriate documents;
9) experience in conducting and reviewing diploma theses;
10) declaration of the primary place of work at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.

• own scientific development, including: participation in research and scientific publications,
• organizational work for the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, especially at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Arts.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates entering the competition are required to submit the following documents:
1) job application,
2) declaration on the processing of personal data (Annex 1),
3) personal questionnaire for a person applying for employment (Annex 2),
4) biography,
5) copies (photocopies) of diplomas confirming your education (originals available for inspection before signing the contract),
6) documents confirming professional experience,
7) declaration of compliance with the requirements of Art. 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Annex 3),
8) supporting documents: a) scientific achievements (list of publications, confirmation of participation in a research team), b) care for academic teachers,
9) copies of certificates, additional certificates,
10) a declaration that the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz will be the primary place of work within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Annex 4).

Selection process

Documents should be submitted:

- in person or sent to the University's address: Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, ul. Staszica 1, 33-300 Nowy Sącz, General Secretariat, room 01. The envelope should be annotated: "Konkurs nr 1 na stanowisko profesora uczelni w WSS" or - send to the e-mail address [email protected] with the title: "Konkurs nr 1 na stanowisko profesora uczelni w WSS." The deadline for submitting documents is June 20, 2024 (the date of receipt of the documents at the University's headquarters is decisive). The competition results will be announced by June 28, 2024. Information about the result and the justification will be made available in the University Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Additional comments

The selection committee reserves the right to interview candidates who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal conditions and those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. We reserve the right to cancel the competition proceedings without giving a reason. The result of the competition is not equivalent to the employment of the candidate, but constitutes a recommendation in this respect to the Rector. The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.
