Offer Description

We are looking for a PI that can complement our research team who is already working at the highest international level of research and will bring in prestigious national and international grants. We will provide full support for the successful candidate in grant applications as well as mentoring in leadership skills. We are keen to hear from any top class researchers that are either bioinformaticians or cell biologist and fit with scientific interest areas and will support our MCB culture which is supportive “we’ and not “I” culture.

The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.2) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on higher education and science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 163 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:

• holding at least a doctoral degree;
• having significant and creative achievements in scientific, professional or artistic work;
• having achievements in organisational work.

Selection process

The first stage of the selection procedure is the formal assessment of the submitted documents. Applications which meet all formal requirements are the subject of substantive assessment, during which an interview with the Candidate may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), upon settling the date of the interview with the Candidate. The interview may if necessary include a scientific presentation on the past scientific achievements and the future plan of work. The Candidate has the right to appeal against the negative assessment by the selection board within 7 days from receiving the information about the results of the assessment.
