Information about Łukasiewicz – ICSO “Blachownia”

Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis “Blachownia” has experience in activities for the chemical industry since 1952. The research field of the Institute include scientific research and research and development works on chemical processes, in particular in the field of chemistry and organic technology. It also provides research, analytical, advisory and design services.

The Institute works in the areas of:

  • pressure processes;
  • catalytic processes;
  • technology of specialized products for various industries;
  • bioeconomy;
  • advanced materials (including polymer ones)
  • circular economy;
  • analytics and measurements;
  • engineering and technical.

Expected scope of duties at the workplace:

  • participation in conducting scientific and development activities;
  • participation in the implementation of projects;
  • dissemination of scientific achievements through publications and active participation in scientific life;
  • participation in the work related to scientific research or developmental works;
  • performing laboratory work in particular by preparation of analytical samples, concentration of analytes, performing research using instrumental techniques;
  • carrying out research, including in the GLP system;
  • implementation of R&D works;
  • preparing reports and statements;
  • performing tests and determinations with particular emphasis on chromatographic analyses.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Master's degree in the field of chemistry, biology, pharmacy or a related field;
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position or in a similar area;
  • experience in working with liquid chromatography technique will be an additional advantage;
  • knowledge of work in chemical laboratory;
  • English language: knowledge at level that allows free communication;
  • Polish language: knowledge at level that allows free communication;
  • knowledge of MS Office;
  • driving license;
  • ability to work as a part of the team, good work organization, communication skills, availability, responsibility and resistance to stress.
