Tasks according to the project description Opus 18 NCN „Multiobjective Classifier Learning for Chosen Decision Tasks”, 2019/35/B/ST6/04442:

• Developing classifier learning methods using multi-criteria optimization methods, including the application in learning deep models and for imbalanced data sets,
• Design and implementation (in the Python programming environment) of the developed algorithms,
• Preparation of information about the ongoing work on the project website,
• Evaluation of the quality of the proposed solution on the basis of experimental tests,
• Preparation of at least three publications containing a description of the proposed methods and the results of their evaluation in journals indexed in JCR, or conferences with a ranking of at least A in the CORE database,
• Publication of algorithm codes in the GitHub repository K32W04D03.

Specific Requirements

• PhD in computer science or technical informatics and telecommunications,
• Good knowledge of the English language,
• Ability to program and conduct simulation studies in Python, knowledge of scikit-learn library,
• Basic knowledge of machine learning, optimization, metaheuristics,
• At least 3 publications in JCR journals or conferences with at least A ranking according to CORE database in the last 5 years.

 

The candidate must also meet all of the following conditions:

• Obtained a doctoral degree no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project,
• Obtained a doctoral degree from an entity other than Wroclaw University of Science and Technology,
• During employment no other salary as direct costs in NCN funds may be received,
• During employment, one cannot be employed on the basis of another employment contract, including from an employer based outside Poland.

*If a competition is won by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except for cases specified in Article 125(3) of the Act), and the employment is not expired by the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector's consent for additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after employing at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If the competition is won by a person who conducts business activity, the requirement of art. 125 sec. 7 of the Act should be met.

Applications of persons sending their documents without indicating a specific reference number and sent after the deadline for submission will not be considered.

The date of receipt of the documents is decisive. The last date of receipt of application documents is considered to be 3 p.m.on the day indicated in the information about the competition. Receipt of the documents from the candidate will be confirmed by the assistant/HR assistant via e-mail to the address indicated in the application.

Candidates' applications will be evaluated by the Competition Committee appointed by prof. Dariusz Łydżba, Vice-Rector for Cooperation. After the competition procedure is closed, the applications of persons who have not been accepted for work will be returned, provided that they were sent by traditional mail. People interested in having their documents back will be able to pick them up from the assistant/HR assistant within 6 months after the competition procedure is closed, against acknowledgment of receipt.

 

The University stipulates that the competition may not be concluded.
