The Faculty of History, Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland) is seeking to appoint an assistant professor specializing in the field of stone age archeology

Skills/Qualifications
The competitive selection process is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:
• holding at least a doctoral degree;
• having relevant scientific achievements;
• taking active part in scientific life;
• having experience in teaching work.
Specific Requirements
• having experience (proven with publications) in the field of knapped stone tools craftmanship and the use of pigments in the Stone Age;
• are the authors of a book monogrpah in this subject;
• having experience in analytical procedures using optical microscopy, SEM, EDS, XRF;
• having field experience gained during excavations on Palaeolithic and Neolithic open and cave sites in Europe and Near East;
• having teaching experience in the field of Stone Age themes;
• having experience in independently managing a research project.
