RECTOR OF MARIA CURIE-SKŁODOWSKA UNIVERSITY  IN LUBLIN (UMCS)

hereby announces an open competition for the position of a Lecturer in the group of teaching staff
at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology in the Institute of Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law and Administration of UMCS

Skills/Qualifications

-  a Master's degree in law;

 - skills and abilities needed for teaching work, attested with an opinion given by a senior research and teaching staff member;

 -  fluency in spoken and written Polish;

 -  experience in teaching in the fields of substantive criminal law and criminology;

  - experience in practical application of law;

 - scientific achievements in the field of substantive criminal law in the form of publications in highly scored journals listed by the Ministry of Education and Science or in peer-reviewed scientific monographs;

 - active participation in domestic and international scientific conferences;

 - very good command of at least one modern foreign language;

 - very good knowledge of MS Office software;

 - an advanced stage of completion of the doctoral dissertation, as confirmed by the supervisor's opinion, with a prospect of  thesis defence within 12 months from the date of start of employment;


Specific Requirements

- application form addressed to the Rector of UMCS;

- authentic copy of the Master's degree diploma;

- personal questionnaire and CV;

- list of scholarly publications;

- list of scientific, teaching and organizational achievements;

- declaration of compliance with the requirements, in accordance with Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science  (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023 item 742 as amended);

- the candidate's statement that UMCS will be his/her primary place of employment;

- the candidate's statement that he/she consents to the processing of personal data, pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);

- credentials, opinion on the teaching skills and abilities.
