Offer Description

Terms and conditions of the employment:

  • Doctoral degree in humanities, the discipline of linguistics or literary studies;
  • Scientific achievements confirmed by scientific publications in the field of linguistics; including translation studies;
  • Experience in providing oral and/or written Polish-English and English-Polish translations;
  • Proven teaching experience of 4 years in conducting classes at a university, i.e. teaching academic translation courses (i.e. in the field of translation and interpreting, specialized and non-specialist translations, CAT tools);
  • Very good knowledge of the Polish language in speech and writing, enabling the conduct of academic and practical classes;
  • Readiness to participate in research and teaching work;
  • Availability;
  • Readiness to conduct classes at the premises of John Paul II University in Biała Podlaska.

    Applications for participation in the competition should be sent to the address: John Paul II University in Biała Podlaska - Chancellery, in a sealed A4 envelope with the annotation "Competition No. ZN/01/2024" or to the e-mail address: [email protected]   in the title " Application documents - Competition No. ZN/01/2024”by 29.05.2024 year.

    The competition will be resolved in the month of June 2024.

     

            The University reserves the right to contact only selected candidates. Application documents of  candidates with whom the employment contract is not  signed will be destroyed. The results of the competition will be made public in accordance with Art. 119, point 3 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742).
