Offer Description

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to be employed as an assistant professor in a group of research staff in the Department of Applied Informatics and Computational Physics in the project IDUB POB 7. The candidate will carry out research on theory of unconventional superconductivity in nanoscopic systems. The candidate has to have an programming skills in one of the following languages: Python, C, C++, Fortran. Moreover, we anticipate candidates to possess experience in research within the realms of solid-state physics or computer physics. The Candidate will work on aspects of superconductivity of two dimensional electron gas in transition metal oxides interfaces.

18-month contract starts on the 1st June 2024.

Eligibility criteria

REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD in physical sciences,
  • MSc degree obtained after 31.12.2011,
  • Good scientific achievements in solid state physics or computer physics,
  • Programming skills in one of the following languages: Python, C, C++, Fortran,
  • Ability to present research outcome confirmed by past presentations at international conferences and symposia,
  • Organizational experience,
  • Knowledge of English (B2 level at least).
