1. The requirements to be met by the candidate:

• Possession of a doctoral degree in exact and natural sciences discipline: chemical sciences

• Documented scientific achievements, including at least 10 scientific publications in the field of analytical isotope ratio measurements published in journals from the Philadelphia list;

• Documented research experience in the field of analytical chemistry in foreign centers;

• Experience in the field of conducting research projects (role of the Principal Investigator is a plus);

• Experience in working with environmental samples origin with complex matrices and medical samples;

• Very good, practical knowledge of selected measurement techniques: IRMS, MC ICP-MS, HPLC, IC;

• Experience in teaching classes and providing scientific supervision to students;

• Knowledge of English and Polish to the extent necessary to conduct classes;

• Ability to independently plan and organize experimental work, analyze results and estimate the measurement uncertainty budget;

• Ability to prepare scientific publications and publicly present the results of scientific work;

• Participation in national and international scientific conferences.

Desired additional skills:

• ability to work in a scientific team;

• ability to make decisions independently;

• good cooperation with students during teaching classes.

2. Specification of the terms and conditions of employment and authority associated with the position:

• full time,

• work start date: April 1th , 2024 (expected)

3. Description of the expected responsibilities and duties.

Research topics carried out by the employee will include:

• conducting interdisciplinary research in the field of chemistry, biology and medicine using advanced measurement techniques;

• designing and applying for funding for scientific and research projects;

• cooperation with domestic and foreign research centers;

• participation and presentation of research results at meetings, conferences and symposia in Poland and abroad;

• measurements of isotopic ratios of stable isotopes;

• estimation of the measurement uncertainty budget.

Expectations:

• conducting scientific research at a high, world-class level, confirmed by publications;

• conducting teaching classes in Polish and English;

• managing and participating in research projects;

• active participation in the organizational activities of the Institute and the Faculty;

• publishing research results in international peer-reviewed journals included in the JCR list and correspondence with editors.
