Offer Description

We are looking for assistant professor in a group of research and teaching staff to be employed in the Department of Solid State Physics. The candidate will carry out research work on the physics of magnetism of thin films and nanostructures, as part of the activities of the Surface Nanostructures Team at the Department. The ability to cooperate in a team carrying out scientific research in home laboratory and large research facilities such as synchrotrons around the world will be expected. The assistant professor hired will teach physics classes. An extension of the contract to permanent position is possible.

9-month contract starts on the 1st October 2024.

Eligibility criteria

REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD in physics,
  • Significant scientific achievements in the field of magnetism of thin films and nanostructures,
  • Readiness for teaching in Polish/English in the following areas: physics,
  • Experience in teaching,
  • Active participation in scientific conferences and symposia,
  • Organizational experience,
  • Knowledge of English (B2 level at least),
  • Proven knowledge of the Polish language at the C1 level, if it is not the mother tongue.

  • B2 level at least English certificate (not required for candidates for whom English is the first language),
  • proven knowledge of the Polish language at the C1 level, if it is not the mother tongue.
