Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Ph.D. Monika Bąk, professor of the University of Gdańsk, on behalf of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk, announces a competition for the position of assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff at the Department of International Business. The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in the Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and in the Statute of the University of Gdańsk of 13 June 2019 DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING OFFERS: April 12, 2024, at 12.00. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: 100% full-time, fixed-term employment contract (two academic years, with the possibility of extending the contract); amount of remuneration – according to the Remuneration Regulations of the University of Gdańsk. COMPETITION RESULT DATE: May 10, 2024. Keywords: international economic relations, foreign trade, trade policy, foreign markets, statistical analysis. Requirements: • completed master's studies in economics; • a doctoral degree in economics in the discipline of economics or in the field of social sciences in the discipline of economics and finance, or in management sciences; • specific interests in issues related to international economic relations; • experience in conducting classes at the academic level in the field of economics, finance or management sciences; • knowledge of Polish and English to the extent enabling the preparation and conduct of classes and the preparation of scientific publications in these languages; • documented organizational and scientific activity; • preparation to conduct empirical research using statistical analysis (experience in this field is welcome); • knowledge of statistical software; • documented original scientific achievements in peer-reviewed journals, including those in English, or authorship/co-authorship of a monograph; • active participation in scientific life, in particular in cooperation in the preparation of publications, scientific projects and in speeches at international and national conferences and symposia; • independence in research work, ability to work in a team, willingness to improve scientific and teaching skills; • predispositions to scientific and teaching work.

 

Additional advantages of the candidate will be: knowledge of using graphic programs and documented training in improving teaching skills. In the event of a negative recruitment result, your data will be deleted immediately after the recruitment is completed, unless the archiving requirement is provided for by law to a specific extent - then for the period specified in these provisions. 8. Your personal data will not be made available to external entities, except for cases provided for by law. If you submit application documents electronically, the recipient of your data may be an entity acting on behalf of the administrator, i.e. an entity that is the operator of the postal service. 9. Pursuant to the provisions of the GDPR, you are entitled to: a. the right to access your data, b. the right to rectify them if they are inconsistent with the actual situation, c. the right to delete them, limit processing and transfer data - in cases provided for by law, d. the right to object to data processing, e. the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority - the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions on the protection of personal data, f. the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
