OFFER DESCRIPTION

  • possession of a doctoral degree in the field of chemical, technical or related sciences;
  • possessing a predisposition to scientific work as well as knowledge and experience in environmental life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprint (CF), water footprint (WF), sustainability criteria (KZR) for biomass cultivation and obtaining waste / residues dedicated to the production of energy carriers, technologies for converting biomass and waste to low-emission transport fuels and energy as well as current legal requirements (national and European) related to the calculation of GHG emissions and energy and climate policy;
  • documented scientific achievements in the last 5 years in the field of environmental life cycle assessment, carbon footprint, water footprint, sustainability criteria for biomass cultivation and obtaining waste / residues dedicated to the production of energy carriers, technologies for converting biomass and waste to low-emission transport fuels and energy and current legal requirements (national and European) related to the calculation of GHG emissions and energy and climate policy;
  • experience in conducting research works, documented by participation in the implementation of at least 2 research projects;
  • professional background in estimating the middle life cycle assessment, carbon footprint and water footprint;
  • ability to use the SimaPro program and the BIOGRACE calculator;
  • at least 5 years of work experience in a research unit;
  • full enjoyment of public rights.

    Eligibility criteria

  • CV and cover letter justifying submission of the application;
  • a completed application form for the position of a assistant professor research station (the application form can be downloaded from the website www.ios.edu.pl );
  • a copy of the doctoral degree awarding diploma;
  • documents confirming qualifications (list of publications and research projects) and at least 5 years of work experience in a research unit;
  • declaration that IOŚ-PIB will be the primary place of work (in the event of winning the competition);
  • a declaration of no criminal record for an offense prosecuted by public indictment or in the mind of a fiscal offense;
  • a declaration that there are no violations of the principles of ethics in science, in particular in the matters referred to in Art. 56 (3) of the Act on Research Institutes;
  • declarations on the full enjoyment of public rights.

    If documents are presented in a foreign language, their translation into Polish by a sworn translator should also be attached.

    Deadline for adjudication of the competition: 21.09.2022.
