Offer Description

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:

1. hold a doctoral degree in the discipline of chemical sciences or a master's degree in chemistry with advanced, documented doctoral proceedings (submitted dissertation).

2. have publications in the field of chemistry in journals from the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Journal Citation Reports (JCR) - publications in Q1 and Q2 journals and experience in disseminating research results at domestic and foreign conferences are preferred.

3. Candidate's research experience:

- Theoretical and practical competences in the synthesis and development of carbon/catalytic materials

- Experience in laboratory experimental work using techniques 

- Experience in the characterization of catalysts and adsorbents using advanced experimental methods: SEM, SEM-EDX, XPS, XRD, low-temperature nitrogen adsorption and others;

- Experience in electrochemical analysis: cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen evolution reaction (OER), oxygen reduction reaction (ORR);

- Experience in acquiring, managing and implementing national research projects operating in a competitive manner;

- Good knowledge of the measurement analysis software and spreadsheets;

- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Polish;

- Organizational skills will be additional advantage

4. Personal skills of the candidate:

- The candidate should have high interpersonal and communication skills.

- Active approach to teamwork, critical thinking and willingness to share knowledge.

- Independence, organization, attention to detail, and timely performance of duties.

- Willingness to travel for short research periods with collaborating partners.

- Positive and inclusive approach to collaboration with colleagues and students of various skills and backgrounds.

- Clear and concise communication in both spoken and written language.

5. Readiness to conduct teaching classes with bachelor's/master's students in the field of chemistry
