Offer Description

The main scope of duties

  • Applying for science projects from external sources (domestic and foreign).
  • Establishing contacts and building long-term and effective business relationships with industry and scientific units in Poland and abroad.
  • Identification of market needs in terms of existing research potential.
  • Dissemination of the results of ongoing research work through scientific publications and participation in scientific conferences.
  • Participation in implementation activities and commercialisation of developed technological solutions.
  • Carrying out work in the nature of training, technical advice and development of expertise.
  • Shaping, implementing and executing business development strategies for commercialisation, sale of IP and sale of research services.
  • Building the Institute's strong position.

    Skills/Qualifications

    Requirements for the candidate

  • Higher technical education with a minimum of a third degree in the discipline of materials engineering or chemical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience  in the research and development sector, including experience of working with an R&D and innovation environment in the public or private sector.
  • Hirsch index min. 10.
  • At least 3 years of experience in human resource management.
  • Experience in managing and implementing research and development projects.
  • Familiarity with the ceramic materials industry.
  • Experience in the area of commercialisation of research and international cooperation.
  • Good knowledge of the Polish language, spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English at a minimum B2 level.
  • Valid category B driving licence.
  • Ability to set goals and enforce their implementation on team members.
  • Highly developed analytical, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Computer literacy in office software (Microsoft Office) and use of online databases.
  • Commitment and responsibility.
  • Readiness for personal development and learning.
  • The ease of establishing contacts, highly developed communication and negotiation skill

    • Specific Requirements

    List of required documents

  • Professional CV containing information enabling to evaluate the most important scientific and/or implementation achievements in the past 10 years, which are:
    - information about publications,
    - information about completed projects
    - patent information,
    - descriptions of implementations.
  • Description of the individuality and breakthrough of the above-mentioned achievements and their impact on the development of scientific fields, and additionally, a description of the achievements and results of the recently implemented projects (up to 3 A4 pages).
  • A copy of the document confirming obtaining the PhD degree.

  • Remuneration will be determined in accordance with the Employee Remuneration Regulations, Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials.
  • Additional benefits: social benefits and others will be determined in accordance with the Employee Remuneration Regulations, Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials.
  • Employment contract for a trial period of 3 months (with the possibility of further employment).
