This is a substitute position as researcher in the section of Genetics, evolution and sustainable crop production. The successful candidate will participate in two ongoing projects in molecular evolution of temperate grasses.

The first project investigates the transition from a perennial to annual life-history trait using, classic growth experiments, functional genomics, CRISPR mediated gene editing, gene expression and plant transformation. The second project investigates the genome structure of asexual and sexual population of the species Nardus stricta using ddRAD sequencing. Additionally, the candidate is expected to participate in supervision of PhD and MSc students, laboratory work and data analyses.

Main tasks

Major research tasks in this position will be:

  • to participate in two ongoing research projects and supervision of involved PhD and MSc students
