The position's field of research

Carbon capture based on amine absorbents is currently among the most mature technologies for point source carbon capture. The sustainability of this process is limited by high energy consumption and use of absorbents from non-renewable sources. The research project will focus on the development of new strategies for carbon capture using sustainable absorbents and photo- and electrochemistry techniques. Organic synthesis is an essential methodology in the research project. The fellow will be associated with the research groups of Assoc. Prof. Marius M. Haugland and Prof. Annette Bayer .
