Your unique blend of skills will help to shape the stories we tell, using everything from AI and multimedia design to the principles of Māori Kaupapa and non-western philosophy.
The Role:
As a Strategic Narrative & Multimedia Specialist, you will be pivotal in developing digital and multimedia designs that not only tell a story but also engage and inspire. Your work will support Te Ara Poutama's AppLab in pushing the boundaries of digital innovation, contributing to research projects, and aiding in the development of our digital curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultural and Philosophical Design: Infuse Māori Kaupapa and non-western philosophies into digital storytelling, showcasing diverse cultural narratives.
- Advanced Digital Storytelling: Harness AI and 4E cognition principles to craft innovative and engaging narratives.

- Academic Collaboration: Engage with academic colleagues, blending theoretical concepts with practical design insights.
- Community Outreach: Apply your digital storytelling skills in community projects, fostering meaningful collaborations.

Your academic experience will enable you to grasp the complex academic rationale and logic underpinning our projects, research, critical thinking, and the application of theory to practice—skills that are pivotal to navigating the challenges and opportunities of digital innovation in an academic setting.
If this sounds like you, please submit your CV, cover letter, and a portfolio demonstrating your experience.
