Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Special Projects and Operational Support Advisor who will have the opportunity to create a meaningful impact on how the University supports students in the Tauria - Student Interest and Conflict Resolution team. The Tauria - Student Interest team is the central point for students to receive advice and support about responding to threatening, inappropriate and concerning behaviour. This is a newly established, fixed-term role which will design, develop, and implement seamless and efficient operational processes for the Tauria team.

You will:

  • Be a motivated, solutions focussed individual with great communication and organisation skills.
  • Have an ability to create clear processes from complex situations.
  • Enjoy problem solving, have strong attention to detail and good self-management skills.
  • Be a highly organised self-starter and natural relationship builder, who relishes working autonomously as well as contributing positively to a high performing team.
  • Need effective time management and forward planning to deliver a range of concrete projects for during your time in this role.
