Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The Department of Accounting and Information Systems invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a casual teaching lecturer to support its undergraduate programme in Information Systems, under the direction of the relevant academic staff member.

The position focuses on supporting the IS program offered by the UC Business School through quality teaching and oversight of tutoring and marking in an Information Systems programming course (using .NET Framework, C#) at the undergraduate level (introductory). The course comprises 2 hours lectures per week (across two 6-week terms) and tutorials (supported by tutors).

The successful candidate will deliver the first 6 weeks of lectures for the course (commencing week of 15 July), associated assessments and organise and oversee tutorials and assignment marking for these weeks.

Mōu | Who You Are
You will have relevant qualifications and skills in computer programming with ability to teach in the .NET Framework using C#. You will be a team player, self-organised and enthusiastic in supporting students. Good organisation and communication skills are essential for this position. Experience with teaching would be an advantage.

Your skills and experience will include:

  • an undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline
  • demonstrated academic ability in the relevant subject area
  • proficiency in English (written and oral)
  • previous teaching and tutoring experience in a tertiary environment will be an advantage.

The salary scale is from $7,000.
