Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
In this role, you will have the responsibility for the strategic direction and management of UC's social media presence. This will encompass planning, innovative creation, seamless execution, and evaluation of social media strategies, activities, and content. This pivotal responsibility extends to bolstering UC's brand profile, enhancing its reputation, and driving student recruitment efforts to ensure successful conversions. Your impact will resonate across domestic, international, undergraduate, and postgraduate as well as online markets, guiding them throughout their educational journey. Additionally, you will be responsible for a team of both staff and contractors.

Mōu | Who You Are

A successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in asocial media/digital marketing role along with the following:

  • Demonstrated experience strategically managing social media channels and/or digital campaigns for a large company or organisation.
  • Experience monitoring multiple digital channels and tailoring content for different platforms.
  • Exceptional writing and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational planning for digital platforms, also project management experience working with other people on big projects in large organisations.
  • Design knowledge beneficial to create visually appealing graphics in posts.
  • Experience in Digital Asset Management (DAM) including the ability to edit and organise media for online use.
  • Experience in supporting or coaching other people to improve business outputs.
  • Strong communication skills including building effective relationships with senior stakeholders and clients, gathering requirements, managing expectations and offering innovative solutions.
  • Experience using photography and videography to create engaging content

You will be UC's social media subject matter expert and fundamental to the role is proactive social media reputation management where monitoring, listening and engagement is a priority, and keeping current with social media trends.
