Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

In the role of Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, you will lead the University's digital marketing programme delivery that will support student recruitment and ultimately conversion, to ensure that prospective students across domestic, international, undergraduate and postgraduate as well as online markets are supported throughout their journey. In this growing team of specialists, you will develop and implement unified effective digital marketing channels for students across SLSC, colleges and in new markets. You will also provide student journey mapping, identification, landing page optimization and implementation of opportunities for better engagement, efficiencies, and conversion success.

You will take an agnostic approach to digital recruitment, targeting students for a range of programmes University-wide. The goal of the role is to lead the team in the digital space leading to the maximisation of opportunities within our pipeline through smart digital marketing.

Mōu | Who You Are
A successful applicant in this role will have a Bachelor's Degree / Graduate Diploma (NZQA Level 7) in an area that is directly relevant to the industry. You are a Google Certified expert with extensive experience in managing complex, large budget Google Ad campaigns. You will have in depth experience using the Google Marketing Platform, including GA4, GTM and Google Merchant Centre and you have in-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors. You can understand and analyse data, draw meaningful insights and bring creativity to solving problems.

Experience in working in a team is crucial, as well as having a range of analytical and technical skills. You will have had experience managing multiple agency relationships, and excellent communication, group presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to write and deliver succinct business proposals and plans.
