School of Social and Cultural Studies
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a School Manager.
The School Manager is responsible for a busy administration team and for ensuring effective and efficient support for the school, its academic staff, and students.
Please note that this is a full-time permanent position and only applicants who are legally entitled to work in NZ on a permanent basis, will be considered.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
The role requires someone who will thrive in handling a broad range of university processes and systems. The successful candidate should have:
- Significant administrative, financial, and budget management experience, preferably at a senior level in the tertiary education sector
- Advanced organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing and changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and constructively
- Previous staff management experience and knowledge of HR practices
- Demonstrated flexibility and personal resilience with capacity to effectively lead and mentor a team of highly skilled administrators
- Experience in working across different online platforms
- Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, implementing, and streamlining processes
- Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and databases
- Proven commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and its obligations to Māori as tangata whenua and Treaty partners
