We now have a vacancy for a Bioengineer to join our research team, developing novel componentry for e-textiles health applications. The role involves the design and development of conductive connectors for application in wearable textile medical devices. The appointee is required to work within an interdisciplinary team across the School of Art and Design and IBTEC, in a role that extends across the design and prototyping of flexible conductive materials, including validating results through testing and evaluation to industry standards.

The successful applicant should hold a Master's degree (or higher) in Bioengineering with relevant experience in the design of medical devices and manufacturing processes. Some familiarity with the workings of ISO13485/9001 or similar quality management systems is desirable.

This is a 0.8FTE fixed-term position with a preferred start date of 1 April 2024. The position will be based on the City Campus and the salary level will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the applicant.

Please note that this position will be titled "Research Officer" as outlined in our collective agreement and employment contract.
