About our team/Mō te tīma

The Department of Medicine is a major academic department within the Otago Medical School's Dunedin Campus. In addition to teaching undergraduate medical students, we offer world-class postgraduate education and research opportunities to medical professionals, and PhD and masters' students.

Members of our Kidney research group within the Department of Medicine are dedicated to investigating innovative ways to prevent and treat kidney disease. The group's expertise ranges from molecular and cellular-level investigations of kidney function, to applying therapies to prevent kidney injury or the progression of kidney disease.

The role/Te mahi

As a research coordinator within our team, you will help run our clinical studies and be part of an active clinical research team.

Day-to-day tasks are varied and will include:
•    Recruiting study participants.
•    Accurately entering data into the study database.
•    Performing venepuncture, collecting and preparing samples.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

We are looking for an individual who preferably has experience with clinical studies and helping to recruit potential participants.

•    have an up-to-date clinical practice certificate.
•    Experience entering data on to REDCap or medidata.
•    Experience with venepuncture and processing samples.
•    Excellent organisational & communications skills.

This is a Dunedin-based, part-time position and will suit persons who have the flexibility to work variable hours (10-15 hours per week). This is a fixed-term position until 12 December 2024.
