Position Overview

The School of Food and Advanced Technology, Massey University , is seeking applications for a 1 year and 4-month fixed-term position as a Research Assistant to work on the  Manawatū Campus.

The purpose of this position is to support staff in the research project “Investigation the effect of nutrient intake and status on thyroid function during pregnancy in NZ” in the Food Product Technology Team.  

Ko koe tēnei | About you

The position requires the person to have experience in human nutrition research studies dealing with human participants, as well as:

  • Technical research skills including anthropometric measurements and using dietary analysis software
  • A BSc in Human Nutrition or a closely related subject is essential 
  • Relevant work experience in the fields of human nutrition and/or laboratory work and a knowledge of nutrition during pregnancy.
