Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic Project Coordinator, who can provide project support within our Operations team?

Join our team and help drive the management and performance of NIWA's science projects across the country as part of  the National Project Coordination Team!

What you will be doing:

The role involves working with our science staff to help implement and manage multiple projects across the country for our exciting environmental science programmes. The appointee will work closely with our internationally renowned science staff, helping them price, plan, resource and set up their projects; monitor progress, and carry out revenue and expenditure forecasting. A key task will involve liaising with clients on project administration, contract negotiations, and resolving project issues that might impede delivery of the science to the client.

What you will bring:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Excellent organisational skills and be a great communicator
  • Some basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in computerised financial management programmes, Microsoft Excel, contract preparation, and client liaison.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processes and performance
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team.
