We are looking for a Programme Coordinator with a record of successfully supporting projects. We are the Open Polytechnic's hub for the development of courseware and programmes, and we impact the lives of everyday people by helping them achieve their educational goals and dreams.

Do you have strong command of MS Project Online and excellent attention to detail? Can you add value to our amazing team within the Product Development Office?

The Programme Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination support to the PDO Product Portfolio Manager. The Products Development Office strives to standardise and introduce economies of scale in the execution of major projects within the Open Polytechnic.  The Products Development Office (PDO) is the source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of project management and execution across the organisation.

You will have a passion for impacting the lives of New Zealanders. You will also constantly be striving to be the best you can be, just as our students do and you will pride yourself on the quality of your work.

You will have;

  • 5 years' experience in Programme Coordination/Administration (preferably within an EPMO or PMO)
  • Experience in portfolio, programme and project planning, monitoring, controlling and reporting
  • Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies is essential, certification in one or more methodologies preferred (eg. PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM)
  • Experience with project budgeting and forecasting, and project registers
  • Experience in process improvements
  • Knowledge of MS Project Online
  • An attitude of positivity, respect, helpfulness, and a willingness to learn
  • A good sense of humour
