The Role/Te Mahi

This presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and leadership of an expanding programme in Nursing Studies, including specialty postgraduate courses, Masters degrees (with pathway to Nurse Practitioner) and PhD research.
 
Professional Practice Fellow – Academic Liaison Nurses support teaching across a range of papers or in clinical settings, to post-graduate level, in the professional area of specialisation. This includes preparation, assessment, teaching and paper administration duties under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for course design and delivery.

The successful candidates will demonstrate appropriate professional experience, and will be committed to advancing nursing education. Applications are sought from registered nurses who hold a masters degree with recent clinical experience. 

Candidates should be registered with a current Annual Practicing Certificate, or be eligible for registration in New Zealand with extensive clinical experience.

Joint clinical positions will be considered where applicants maintain a research, consultative and/or clinical specialty. 

We currently have multiple permanent, part time (0.4FTE or 0.3FTE) Academic Liaison Nurse positions available.

The salary range for a Professional Practice Fellow is $70,692 to $96,058 per annum, pro rata and $98,640 to $107,300 per annum, pro rata for Senior Professional Practice Fellows.

Appointment will be made at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience.
